Workshops September (4 days) Life Drawing-Making Faces The objective of this workshop is to take away the mystique and apprehension of portraiture. Develop a simplified understanding and straight forward approach on how to construct the human face and head. Students will learn how to convey attitude, mood and facial expression effectively. This workshop uses a wide variety of dynamic approaches, media and challenging exercises in 2D and 3D. (an additional $50 fee will apply to this workshop for the cost of the life model). September (2 days) Life Drawing-Body of Work 2 days of contrast, from slow intense studies of the human form to gestural bursts of expression. Exploring all approaches to expand on basic fundamentals of form and proportion. Develop honed observational skills using tone, line, brush, smudge etc. in 2D and 3D. Powerful exercises will develop a personal style and empower students with simple tools to bring confidence to their abilities. This workshop will be working with a life model.
